On Monday, Rapper Lil Wayne began serving a 12 month sentence for weapons possession at NY’s infamous Riker’s Island prison. With rumors of gang threats against his life weighing heavy on his mind, Wayne made the brave decision to mingle with the prison population rather than accept a cell on an isolaton ward.
Still, according to a Riker’s guard who spoke with blogger Combat Jack, Wayne has been receiving special treatment from Riker’s corrections officers, two of whom have already been written up for bending the prison’s rules for Weezy:
“…A couple of guards have been written up, only because they’ve acted like fans, having more personal interaction with Wayne than is procedure, prolly acting all star struck, which, once again, the system does it’s best to discourage… For the most part though, Wayne has been pretty quiet, staying mostly inside his jail cell. There doesn’t seem to be anyone, any faction trying to get at him in any harmful way, because he’s new and because he hasn’t violated any of the codes customary to inmate living the prison life. As I was told, it’s too early to determine how the rest of his experience will be, but so far, so good. It’s all in Lil Wayne’s hands.“
The guard also said the prison has been inundated with calls from Wayne’s camp questioning if the prison will force Wayne to cut his dreads. Prison officials say that as long as Wayne’s dreads are real (and he keeps them neat and clean) they won’t be chopped off. Hopefully, they’re real.
The NY prison system provides barbers and beauticians for the inmates to keep them looking presentable free of charge.
THIS IS WHAT WAYNE’S LIFE IS LIKE IN PRISON:
“Inmate Carter is in a category of housing that we call ‘general population/escort,’ ” a New York City Department of Corrections official tells PEOPLE. That means when he leaves the housing area (his cell or the day room), he will have a captain escorting him at all times. On an hourly basis, the rapper can decide if he wants to be locked in his cell or locked out of it – for security reasons, inmates are not allowed to freely move between their cell and the common areas.
The official shared the following details:
The Day Room
In this common area, which he shares with 19 other inmates, Lil Wayne can watch television, play cards, read the paper or just socialize. Since the day room is within the housing area, he does not have an escort here.
The Meals
Breakfast is served at 4:30 a.m. Since a number of inmates will be going to court on any given day, the morning starts early for Riker’s residents. Lunch is served at 11, dinner at 4:30 p.m.
The Clothes
Lil Wayne will wear the standard institutional clothing: Green work shirt and pants, slip-on style sneakers.
The Cell
His six-by-ten space features a steel cot connected to the wall, a mattress, a sheet, a blanket and a pillow. There’s a sink and toilet in the cell as well, plus his personal property which includes the standard cup, razor, toothbrush and soap assigned to each inmate.
Outside the Housing Area
With his escort, Lil Wayne can leave the housing area for attorney visits, regular visits (he’ll get two per week with up to three visitors), religious services or jail-offered programs such as one that helps inmates transition back into society. While some inmates have work assignments in and around the jail, he will not because, “then you’d have to send somebody off to escort him every day,” says the official.
Recreation
One hour per day. The rapper’s facility features outdoor basketball courts.
The Commissary
He can buy snacks and toiletries from his Commissary account, which friends and family can contribute to online. Reports that he’ll have an ipod are untrue, though he can purchase a battery-operated AM/FM radio and earphones to listen to music.

DMX was arrested today (March 9) in Arizona for violating the terms of his parole.
X, real name Earl Simmons, is being detained in a local county jail following his apprehension by the state’s Adult Probation department.
The troubled star in less than a year removed from a 90 plus day stint in an Arizona jail for fraud, drug, and animal cruelty charges. While in custody, he was given an additional 18 months of probation for verbally threatening a corrections officer.
DMX’s lawyer Gary Jenkins did not verify his client’s exact parole violations, but acknowledged the rapper is still suffering from well-documented drug addiction issues.
“He’s been battling addiction for some time and he’s in need of treatment,” Jenkins stated to TMZ. “We’re hoping that maybe Dr. Drew might be able to help him. He’s a talented man…we’re praying for him.”
Last week, DMX’s attempt to throw a gospel concert for Independence High School in Glendale, AZ was stopped by school officials amidst fears of violence.
At press time, DMX faces 5 unspecified counts of parole violation.
Convicted rapper Lil Wayne began serving his one year prison sentence on a firearms charge yesterday at Riker’s Island. Contrary to popular belief, he will not be in protective custody where he would have been safe from roving bands of gangs that the NY prison system is famous for.
Instead, the rapper insisted that he do his time (like a man) in the general population with the thugs, murderers, pedophiles, rapists and others who probably committed some of their crimes while humming his rap tunes.
Even though defense lawyer Stacey Richman initially claimed that city officials were forcing the rapper into protective custody, it turns out he’s going into a regular cellblock. Correction Department spokesman Stephen Morello said the “Lollipop” singer will have “general population escort” status.
That means he’ll be escorted by a correction captain when outside of his housing unit – just like gang members. Inside, he’s free to socialize under the watchful eye of guards with the 17 men on his cellblock – or stay locked in his cell.
“It’s his choice,” Morello said.
He said the agency never got a request from Lil Wayne to be treated like any other inmate – and Richman conceded she never made one because she assumed it would be shot down.
Michael Jackson bodyguards spoke on Michael’s secret life and his PLENTY of jumpoffs. Here is an excerpt:
We don’t believe he was a . . . he had the desires of women like everyone
We had a curtain which covered the backseat . And so he was either making out in the back seat or chewing gum very loud.
Like a Tiger Woods press conference, T.I. didn’t take any questions but he did speak to the record spinners across the country . Listen up, shawty.

After two separate sentencing delays, New Orleans rap star Lil Wayne was officially sentenced to prison today (March 8th) in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Lil Wayne was sentenced to the prison term after the rapper admitted to possessing a loaded .40 caliber handgun that was found on his tour bus after a performance in New York in July of 2007.
The rapper was taken away in handcuffs to begin serving his time on Riker’s Island, a prison that is just emerging from a scandal over preferential treatment of certain inmates and celebrities.
In October of 2009, several prison officials resigned from the prison after it was revealed that Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown and other inmates had been given preferential treatment while serving their time behind bars.
Lil Wayne was originally supposed to be sentenced to prison on February 9th but the date was postponed to March 2nd, because the rapper needed root canals, in addition to having his platinum “grillz” removed.
The March 2nd date was rescheduled to today (March 8th), after a fire broke out in Manhattan Criminal Court’s basement which sent eight people to the hospital.
Lil Wayne could be out in as little as eight months. He is expected to remain in protective custody during his time behind bars.
“Law is mind without reason. ……………..I’ll return,” Lil Wayne told fans on his Twitter page this morning.
Jeez! I know Wocka Flocka is crunk, but this is crazy.
Eight teenagers were straight up shot at a concert for Mr. Flocka. The police are blaming Waka’s hypeman for making two warring sides of Gary, Indiana fight each others. Waka never even hit the stage. Kids ranging from age 14 to age 18 were shot. Hmmmmmm….maybe some of them should not have been allowed to go to this event in the first place. Step your parenting game up. But person that did the shooting was outside the venue and had a rifle. Nobody was killed, thankfully.
R&B singer D’Angelo was arrested for trying to solicit a prostitute.
Police set up a sting operation with a police woman posing as a prostitute, and D’Angelo went for the bait. According to police, D’Angelo offered the officer $40 for sex.
But here’s where the story gets INTERESTING!!! D’Angelo tried to pick up the woman in the WEST VILLAGE – a neighborhood in New York known for having TRANNEY PROSTITUTES. In fact, the West Village is so WELL KNOWN for it’s tranney’s (especially Black ones) that gay men from AROUND THE WORLD come there to get it in.
Now the question, was D’Angelo looking for a dude?????
Rapper T.I. will reportedly be freed from criminal confinement later this month, according to the Federal Bureau of Prison records.
Reports show the rapper being officially released in late March.
The rapper announced new single “I’m Back” through a promotional Twitter account, and his lawyer confirmed to MTV News on Thursday (March 4) that Tip will be released from prison later this month. Federal Bureau of Prison records list the rapper’s release date as March 26. “That date is correct,” lawyer Steve Sadow said via e-mail. “T.I. is now serving the remainder of his sentence in home confinement under the supervision of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.”
Before Jay-Z and Trey Songz hit the stage in Washington, DC for their storm across America in the Blueprint 3 tour, hip-hop’s first couple hit the White House to say hello to Barack Obama. As reported yesterday, the Carter Adminstration met the Obama Administration, but now we got the photos to prove it.

The public truce brokered last December between Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane appears to be compromised following a violent altercation between their affiliates in downtown Atlanta yesterday (March 4).
The brawl began around 4PM outside of the Walter’s Clothing Store in downtown Atlanta, ironically the location where Jeezy and Gucci Mane first met several years ago.
According to Patrick Morrison, an eyewitness and Walter’s Clothing employee, the animosity was renewed when Flocka’s entourage entered the store and came face to face with Slick Pulla and other Young Jeezy affiliates.
“They just started going at it,” Morrison told the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
In the midst of the struggle, a security guard for Waka Flocka discharged his firearm, possibly as a warning to dispel the fighting.
Numerous sources allege that Flocka was attacked by Slick Pulla, an artist signed to Young Jeezy’s Corporate Thugz Entertainment label, and member of the group USDA (United Dope Boyz of America).
“Story has it that Waka Flocka and Slick Pulla have been beefing since an altercation that happened in Miami a few months ago,” explained celebrity photographer Freddy O.
Slick Pulla wanted to get it popping and that’s what he tried to do. After a tussle and fight throughout the entire Walter’s store, with customers, gunfire rang out. In the end Slick Pulla left the store while Waka was left with a bloody nose and eye.”
Patrick Morrison confirmed the assault as well, stating “whoever he (Waka Flocka) is he’s got a big swollen eye now.”
Slick Pulla was just released earlier this year from prison after serving a 2 year bid for parole violation. The terms of his release allowed him to leave the location on work release, which may now be violated if criminal charges are levied.
Thursday’s brawl marks the second Atlanta attack in three months on Waka Flocka Flame. In January, the young rapper was shot in the arm at a car wash on Old National Highway after refusing to give up his jewelry.
Flocka took his Twitter several hours ago, and offered a different version of earlier reports that he was left battered and bloody.
In his response, the Atlanta rapper made light of the conflict and boasted that he administered his own beating to his attacker.
“Shout out to shawty who ran up wit the lumps on his face that look like Martin Lawrence …… lol,” quipped Flocka, alluding to a memorable episode of the comedian’s sitcom where Lawrence was humorously disfigured after a bout with boxer Tommy Hearns.
The AJC.com reports that Allen Iverson’s wife has filed for divorce:
In the divorce petition filed on Tuesday, Tawanna Iverson said her 8 ½-year-long marriage to the guard was “irretrievably broken.” In the petition, Tawanna Iverson asked for temporary and permanent custody of their five children as well as child support and alimony.
She did not ask for a specific dollar amount.
The children range in ages from 17 months to 15 years.
The children and their parents have lived in north Atlanta since August, according to the court filing. Before that, the family claimed homes in Rochester, Mich.; Englewood, Colo.; Denver, Colo.; and Villanova, Pa.

Somebody did a dummy move. Some man decided it was a good idea to get on stage when Jay-Z was performing and I heard security almost beat the boy to death!
From Joey Soprano checking in from the DMV:
Last night went to the Jay-Z show in D.C. s**twas off the hook for real. Jova killed the s**tlast night! Well anyways when Jay was going through his songs, he brought out Bleek and something kind of crazy happened. Some random dude some how got on stage and was walking around like he was suppose to be up there, lets just say Jigga’s secret service handled the dude. The stage crasher got bull rushed all the way to the other side of the stage and literally got tossed of the stage and hit the floor haaaaaard. Dude was on the ground for like 10 mins before they were able to take him out, I smell a law suit coming haha.
Having more freedom time on Lil Wayne hands ..Wayne hit the Jay Z Blueprint 3 show last nite at the Garden. Check out the video.
Lil Wayne has been given a third sentencing date for a 2007 gun charge, after a fire in a New York courthouse postponed the sentencing yesterday (March 2).
The rapper was scheduled to be sentenced to a one-year prison term for attempted possession of a weapon, after he pleaded guilty to the gun charge in October.
Judge Charles H. Solomon was supposed to sentence the rapper to prison on February 9th, but he postponed the sentencing so Lil Wayne could have dental work done.
Judge Solomon rescheduled the date for March 2, but a fire broke out in the basement of the courthouse yesterday.
Over 1,000 people were forced to evacuate the building, which was shut down for the day after eight people, including five firefighters were treated for injuries.
Lil Wayne will be sentenced to prison on Monday (March 8).
Last night, Lil Wayne hit the stage with Jay-Z at Madison Square Garden last night as part of the Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3 tour.
Bad Boy CEO Diddy has updated fans on the status of his forthcoming Last Train to Paris album and said guest spots have already been reserved for Drake, Lil Wayne and Jay-Z.
“On Last Train to Paris, Wayne is on the album, Drake is on the album, we’re trying to get Hov on the album, trying to get Janelle Monae on the album,” Diddy said in an interview. “Everybody that’s on the album, it’s not done in a regular appearance way. It’s done in a unique way that’s authentic. It’s not about a single or . It doesn’t have that behind it. Wayne is on a record that’s called ‘Strobe Lights.’ It’s one of the first records where I hear him talking about love and how love has affected him. That’s the type of things I wanted to get out of people if they were on the album. I wanted people to get out of their comfort zone and do something that was special. He did the video for me over the weekend. ‘Strobe Lights,’ it’s gonna be tough.”
A court spokesman says rap star Lil Wayne’s sentencing in a New York City gun case has been postponed because of a courthouse fire.
The rapper had been expected to start a one-year jail term after sentencing Tuesday. He pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.
Courts spokesman David Bookstaver said the sentencing was among proceedings canceled due a basement fire at a Lower Manhattan courthouse.
The 27-year-old rapper entered his plea in October. He admitted having a loaded gun on his tour bus in July 2007.
He has become one of rap’s biggest names and music’s biggest sellers in recent years.
Wayne’s attorney told us that the rapper has no idea his sentencing has been postponed, because he’s on a plane right now.
Trina has responded to all the leaked photos and her “SKIN RASH” that we told you about yesterday.
“ me on a very upset day — I think I was in Canada, upset crying,” she explained. “Just personal stuff. Photos in the studio. I think was me having an allergic reaction, breaking out. I just think it was my personal stuff and for someone to do that is so, so wrong. So now I’m actually having it looked into by the FBI and it’s gonna be a bigger situation than just leaked photos. Hopefully we can deal with the situation and put an end to it.”
The pics also contains several of Trina holding up her arm, which appears to have a rash of some sort, and she explained those pictures were taken in order to show her doctor — the rapper broke out but wasn’t sure what was causing the ailment. Her doctor, she said, diagnosed her with Urticaria, which essentially is hives and has since gone away.
“I don’t recall being allergic to anything, but obviously, yeah ,” she said. “I was in the studio recording for a couple of days and just started having breakouts. And my doctor said you’re allergic to shellfish or makeup bronzer.”

After a postponement for dental surgery, the Cash Money MC is expected to turn himself in.
Barring any colossally unforeseen circumstances (or eight more root canals), Lil Wayne will be formally sentenced and finally turn himself in to begin his one-year prison sentence in New York on Tuesday (March 2).
The sentencing was scheduled for last month, but Wayne’s attorney requested a delay due to dental surgery the rapper required. Judge Charles H. Solomon agreed to the last-minute request and rescheduled the proceedings for March 2. The New Orleans MC has had more time than he requested to recover from a reported eight root canals in one day.
“I don’t want this to get pushed back anymore,” Judge Solomon told the rapper’s lawyer during his last appearance. “This is the last adjournment.”
Wayne is set to appear before Solomon on Tuesday afternoon and plead guilty to attempted gun possession. He’s then expected to turn himself in immediately to begin his prison term.
The rapper reached a deal with prosecutors in November to plead out to a lesser deal and in return he is expected to be released from prison as early as October of this year. In 2007, Lil Wayne was arrested for gun possession following his first headlining performance in Manhattan at the Beacon Theater. A gun-possession charge in New York could have landed the Cash Money superstar behind bars for up to 15 years if he was convicted.
New York is among the toughest states in the country when it comes to gun-possession laws.
In other states, Lil Wayne could have reasonably gotten off with a misdemeanor rap and probation. However, in New York, mostly law-enforcement officials and those affiliated with authorities are permitted to carry firearms. The Empire State’s stringent gun laws were originally enacted during former governor George Pataki’s administration.
Ultimately, what Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to amounts to him being able to have access to a gun. Police did not find a weapon on the rapper when his tour bus was searched. Rather, the gun — registered to his manager — was in a bag located near the rapper, hence the attempted charge.
Lil Wayne has been working feverishly in recent weeks to complete a number of videos and songs to stay relevant during his physical absence. That pace he’s gotten accustomed to, however, will come to a screeching halt, according to a New York corrections officer who spoke to MTV News.
Once the rapper lands behind bars, his days will be as regimented as his recording schedule — but will be maintained by the prison warden, not Lil Wayne.
“He’ll be housed with inmates who are classified in his category, and he’ll be able to be a regular inmate,” the guard said. “He’ll be able to watch television, go into the day room and congregate with people of his classification.
“He’ll have no preferable treatment at all. He’ll be treated like a regular inmate,” the guard, who declined to be identified due to the classified information he discussed, added.
Lil Wayne is also still facing charges in Arizona, and his trial is set to begin there March 30.
On Monday, a spokeswoman for CBS Outdoor, the company that owns the billboard, said the ad will be taken down, though she did not specify a date. In a statement, the company acknowledged it had responded to feedback from Newark residents.

“The AKOO brand has always aimed to inspire individualism and creativity. Our advertising campaign was not created to offend or insult anyone but to simply provoke dialogue and thought regarding male/female sexuality within urban culture.
We hope that as more of the campaign is debuted, people will see the multifaceted personality of AKOO.”

A Decatur man claims he found rapper Trina’s cell phone and is now holding it for ransom. He leaked the pics to my friends at Worldstar Hip Hop who promptly put them online early this morning.
At the end of the video, the man, whose voice is disguised electronically, demands $100,000 from Trina to get her cell phone back with all of its contents intact. He also promises, if he doesn’t get the cash, he’ll release a part 2 of this video with photos of Trina’s former lover, Denver Nuggets star Kenyon Martin, smoking weed.
“B*tch, we found your phone in Atlanta. You want the phone back, give us a hundred thousand cash… Put it in a PayPal account… mail it to us. We in Decatur, shawty! You already know.”
The man accuses Trina of transmitting STD’s to rappers such as Souljah Boy, Lil Wayne, Puffy and 50 Cent (I can believe the part about Lil Wayne.

The Shanell being pregnant rumor was already dispelled but now Wayne has denied it as well. Shanell IS NOT pregnant.
I was talking to somebody in Charles Hamilton’s camp yesterday and they are NOT happy with the direction CH is trying to go. He’s currently in Atlanta working on a mixtape with B.O.B. or Bobby Ray (idk) tentatively titled “CHX and B.O.B: Freshman Friday” and he’s recently decided he wants to become a female rapper.
I’M DEAD SERIOUS!!! Charles has decided he would like to go by the name LADY DOOM from now on. Apparently the music he has been making is really MF Doomish and he’d like to rap from a “genderless” perspective. NO this is not a new nickname, Charles really wants to re-vamp his image and has even had a secret Facebook page under the name “Myu “LadyDoom” Zik” (pronounced Music). They’ve been trying to convince him not to do this for the past few days but he’s got his mind made up to become the best female rapper in the game. Here’s an image CH sent to illustrate his new self image via a South Park Avatar:
Yesterday, rapper Juvenile (government name, Terius Gray) was arrested in New Orleans. And the charge is . . . smoking weed INSIDE his friend’s home.
According to New Orleans police, Juve was inside his friend Leroy Edwards’ house smoking weed. One of the snitchin azz neighbors called the police saying that they smelled weed coming from out the house.
So they police then obtained a WARRANT – and then busted in the crib to find Juve and Leroy partaking in some afternoon kush.
Juve was booked on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and released from the parish jail. SHEEEEEIIIT . . . don’t the police in New Orleans have anything better to do.
The two were spotted Wednesday night, watching court side as the Dallas Mavericks took on the LA Lakers.
Julius De Boer is from the Netherlands, speaks 5 languages and his boss is one of Jay-z’s personal bodyguards. She also says he is divorced, has a four year old daughter and is Not …related to Beyonce. Below is an article he wrote for a Netherlands newspaper describing his experience as Bey’s human shield:
I have worked for RAD for over one year as personal protector of the famous singer Beyonce in the USA and abroad.
They are often long hours. I am in this position very happy. I really enjoy my function, a day of work is long, where you have to pay attention to everything, and stay paying attention to everything. Personally I think the most fun of this job is travel and the people you meet while traveling; drivers, hotel managers, restaurant owners, etc. It is this feature for customers that is important, but also for yourself, you’re multilingual.
In American, artists at the Close Protection level is very different than in the Netherlands. It is much more than a human shield to your customer. You should always think three steps ahead, follow a schedule, call ahead to destinations, etc. It really is best that a security person explore the destination beforehand.
In past years I have traveled all continents, mostly in private jets and traveled in the most luxurious hotels stayed. had to learn to cope and adapt. Adaptability, in physical and psychological terms is the main characteristic that you must possess. I met my boss Norman Oosterbroek in college and he Jay-Z.
Here’s what popped off. On Saturday night, Young Berg was having a small get together at his home in the Hollywood Hills. That’s when, a group of 4 masked GOONS pushed in the house with GUNS OUT!!! The goons were described as TWO MEN and TWO WOMEN!!!
And get this. Word is that the masked men were holding the rest of the people in the home hostage, while the WOMEN were the ones being violent – even going so far as to PISTOL WHIP Young Berg.
The goons and goonettes got away with Young Berg’s chain and all his money. They also got into the pockets of every other person at the get together.
It’s not clear whether police have ANY SUSPECTS in the matter.

Titled “For The Love of Our Fathers”, the fundraiser was given a surprise appearance by T.I. as he came out to support his girlfriend Tameka “Tiny” Cottle who hosted the event along with Toya.
Held at Club Opera in Atlanta, fans were also treated to brief performances from The Tams, which was a group that features Tiny’s father, Charles Pope, along with the up and coming group The OMG Girlz, which features the daughters T.I. and Lil Wayne.
According to the Atlanta- Journal Constitution, the rapper was also in a mood to give back as he presented Tiny with a blue Porsche Panamera laced with a bright red bow.
Now that the King is finally back out to play, it is only a matter of time before the music starts to flow again and the rapper takes his throne on Hip-Hop once again.
“Imma even the score and help to shine some light/ He appears as a man, niggas the anti-Christ.”
Yung D, a former member of Three Six Mafia, takes some shots at Jigga and the claims of him being affiliated with the Illuminati.
Whatever the case may be, Yung D apparently took some words personal when Jay stated that he didn’t believe in Christians or Muslims and only believes in one God.
Jay-Z was out in London for the Brits, and then went back to the Jonathan Ross show….
“(You’re good friends with President Obama…) Ehh, I dont want to overstate it….I know who he is. (Have you been to the white house?) No, I haven’t. Some kind of friend he is.” Lol. Jay also says that when Obama found out about his Democratic nomination, he was in the gym, playing the Blueprint album.
“(By rap standards you’re quite an old performer. You turned 40 recently. How do you keep yourself relevant…) We have to stretch the audience, it cant be a young man’s game. It’s a genre…”
“(What kind of celebration did you have for your 40th?) Oh, fantastic, I had a huge party in the Dominican Republic. We had this huge mansion with synchronized swimmers, the Olympic team. There was a casino outside, 2 dancefloors, fireworks at 12, champagne everywhere.”
“(did you feel the need to outparty Diddy? He had his 40th around the same time, didn’t he?) Puff throws the best parties ever, there’s no competing with him. But I got him this time. He was actually at my party, he practically emceed it, he was running around with a cordless mic, saying ‘take that, take that.‘”
Lol, and Jay talks about enjoying his wife’s stage show, and jokes that he started her “uh oh” dance, as well as the “single ladies” dance.
Furniture, clothing and other items belonging to former Death Row Records‘ CEO Marion “Suge“ Knight were auctioned off yesterday (February 20) in Simi Valley, California.
The mogul had fallen several thousand dollars behind on his storage bill with Conejo Valley Moving & Storage, which resulted in his valuables being sold, mostly items from his old Malibu mansion.
Yesterday, The company waited for Knight to show up to pay the seven-month old bill, which amounted to several thousand dollars in storage fees.
There was a larger than usual turnout for Knight’s items, due to his celebrity status. His items, which also included appliances and gym equipment, sold in about 30 minutes.
Valuable items, like a large photo of Knight and Tupac Shakur, sold for as little as $100 to lucky bidders, who plan to sell some of the items that were auctioned off on Ebay.
The auctioned earned around $4,500, which still left a balance according to Conejo Valley Moving & Storage’s owner, Joe Furmidge.
Fantasia Barrino is under a self-imposed lock down — after the “American Idol” champ received a threatening letter. It all started last night at the Pantages Theater in L.A. — Fantasia was reading her fan mail after a performance of “The Color Purple.”
Fantasia’s manager tells us Barrino became alarmed over a disturbing letter loaded with racial slurs — including the n-word — and a line that read, “go back where you came from and die.” We’re told the person who wrote the letter claims he used to work as a security guard for Fox while Fantasia was on “A.I.” Fantasia’s manager tells us the singer immediately contacted theater security — which then contacted the LAPD.
A rap star says former Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney first touched him – and not the other way around – during a confrontation aboard a taxiing Air Canada flight.
Sky Blu says in a video on TMZ.com he was trying to go to sleep when he leaned his seat back on a Vancouver-to-Los Angeles flight Monday. He says Romney loudly told him to straighten it and grabbed his shoulder.
Gordy says he swung at Romney to defend himself. He says Romney’s wife, Ann, screamed and the plane returned to the gate before two police officers escorted Gordy off.
Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom (FURN’-strum) has no comment. Aides said this week that Romney told them he thought the other person was a band member.
Jay-Z recently revealed that United States President Barack Obama has officially co-signed his latest album, The Blueprint III.
According to Hov, the president works out to his music.
Rapper Jay-Z said President Barack Obama was among his biggest fans and that he frequently played the artist’s explicit tunes while exercising, it was reported Friday. The 10-time Grammy award winner said in an interview with U.K. broadcaster the BBC that the President enjoyed working up a sweat to the sounds of Jay-Z’s latest album, Blueprint 3. “Barack loves hip hop. When I called him he was playing Blueprint in the gym,” the star said.
Jay wants the president to run for another term in 2012.
He said to Jonathan Ross’s Friday night TV show: ‘I’ve been invited to the White House a couple of times. Hopefully we’ll keep him in for eight years so I’ll have time to get there.’ The rapper recently picked up the BRIT Award for Best International Male at the UK awards ceremony.
According to gossip bible TMZ.com, convicted rapper Lil Wayne underwent extreme dental surgery yesterday in Florida. The rapper had 8 root canals, several implants and his prized platinum and bejeweled grill removed in preparation for his 12-month bid in Riker’s Island prison next month.
Wayne had his grill worked on, several tooth implants redone, more implants added and had the few real teeth he had left repaired.
This is the critical dental surgery that kept Wayne from being shipped off to the big house last week.
The judge allowed the rapper to put his sentence for felony attempted gun possession on hold until March 2 — enough time for Wayne to get his mouth prison-ready.
If that’s even possible.
Accusations of racism have been hurled at Jay-Z after reports circulated that his security banned Caucasians from the VIP section of his Brit Awards afterparty.
The superstar emcee held his party at London’s Merah nightclub after taking home honors for Best International Male Solo, off the platinum success of Blueprint 3.
According to various reports, the planned celebratory night was mired by constant fights prompted by overzealous fans pushing and shoving in vain attempts to get to Jay.
Kim Dawson, a reporter for the UK’s Daily Star, alleges that black people were allowed free access to the VIP area without scrutiny, while any white attendee was immediately shunned.
“I’ve been to countless showbiz bashes but never have I met meatheads like those at the Jay-Z do . Jay-Z is a megastar and yet it was clear white people were not welcome in his VIP area,” Dawson stated. “While the red rope was lifted for black guests to breeze through, let’s just say it stayed down if your face didn’t fit. I have never felt so intimidated. It left me feeling like a mauled dog.”
Alesha Dixon, a black pop star, declined to level criticism at Jay-Z or verify the racism claim. Instead, she expressed shock at how badly the event was structured considering the star level.
“My friends have been getting knocked about and no one seems to care. I need to get out of here,” Dixon explained to Daily Star. “What a horrible end to the night. I was having a blast at my record label party and now the mood is soured. I wish I’d never come.”
At press time, representatives for Jay-Z have said the party’s security was from the Merah establishment, not the mogul’s personal entourage.
Akon, who signed Lady Gaga to his label imprint, says the pop star’s megasuccess has him ready to retire. The singer also talks about dance music’s influence on hip-hop, including rap pioneer Dr. Dre.
Cypher Sounds and Jay Electronica went back and forth this morning about the controversial line in Jay Electronica’s Exhibit C, about rappers from New York which states:
“When New York n*ggas were callin’ Southern rappers lame but then jackin’ our slang”
Cypher Sounds explains to Jay Electronica that before he can support him, he needs to know what Jay Electronica is trying to say.
Jay Electronica states “I ain’t trying to say nothing. I said it! That back along time ago when i left home and i was burning n*ggas alive with rhymes. That n*ggas wouldn’t even wanna hear what I was saying, because of where I’m from. Then i got to a point where I started seeing no shots to nobody, Jay, different artist that were prominent hip hop artist that started taking the lingo, ‘holla back, bout it bout it,’ and then even started changing swag, even to the point… Where it evolved to the point to where 50 came out and he sounded like he was from Memphis on Get Rich and Die Trying! Not just the slang it took the whole swag…
Actress and former First Lady of Turks & Caicos Islands LisaRaye covers the March 2010 issue of Upscale magazine. Isn’t she drop dead gorgeous for 42?
Inside, LisaRaye discusses her new reality show

I agree with what Jay Z said. Jay explained that he refused to partake in the remake of 1985’s “We Are The World” because he felt the original could not be touched.
What do you think of this line Nas said:
“How in the hell am I supposed to stay comfy/ When I pay child support, alimony monthly….”
“So I’ve stuck with some married women so fine, cheating while their husband rushing on the 40-yard line/ Wonder if this is what my ex did the whole time….”
At Jay-Z & LeBron’s 4th annual All-Star weekend “Two Kings” dinner, MTV asked Jay why he (wisely) chose not to participate in the We Are The World remake.
I have a interesting take on that. I know everybody is gonna take this wrong: “We Are the World,” I love it, and I understand the point and think it’s great. But I think “We Are the World” is like “Thriller” to me. I don’t ever wanna see it touched. I’m a fan of music. I know the plight and everything that’s going on in Haiti. I applaud the efforts. Like 1 out of 2 Americans donated through text to Haiti. That’s amazing. So I appreciate the efforts and everything, but “We are the World” is untouchable like “Thriller” is untouchable. Some things are just untouchable. It was a valiant effort, but for me, it’s gonna be untouchable.
Ciara attended the Y-3 Fall 2010 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC wearing this interesting outfit to show off her best assets.
Baby is one of the best businessmen in Hip-Hop and ever since he brought Cash Money to Universal with an unprecedented $30 million dollar distribution deal his money tree hasn’t stopped growing. However he isn’t immune to bad investments and claims working with R Kelly was his worst move to date. When asked about their Best Of Both Worlds 2 project that, never materialized after Kellz re-upped with Jay-Z, Baby says:
“That was a waste of my time. I could’ve made money if I wasn’t fu**in’ with that clown-ass ni**a.”
