Today the G-Unit general released a new song titled “Try Me” in which he responds to the Miami rapper. 50 raps “officer Ricky radio for backup, see your ass anywhere you know im going to act up.” 50 continues “screaming Boss, nigga you aint a boss, pussy nigga you lost, listen officer Ross // I’ll tell you straight suck a dick, you try come subliminal, because your ass is police, my niggas is criminals”. Ross wasn’t 50’s only target, at the end of the track 50 calls out Lil Wayne saying “this niggas an appetizer, where you at Wayne? You the four course meal Wayne”

With his video tribute to Biggie Smalls leaking yesterday, Jadakiss took some time out to share his thoughts on Notorious and his “Letter to B.I.G.”

“I wanted to make a letter to my dead homey just to tell him how I felt about the game right now – the state of hip-hop – and how I thought things was going,” he explained during a conference call on Wednesday afternoon. “I didn’t want it to be in song format or none of that. It’s a real letter to Big. And it came across real strong to the people. They accepted it, that’s a beautiful thing when the song can inspire the people to do the same thing.

Asked how he felt about the flick, The Lox rapper didn’t seem too pleased with actor Anthony Mackie’s portrayal of Tupac Shakur.

Jada’s highly anticipated Roc-A-Fella debut, The Last Kiss is slated to hit shelves on March 10th.

Spike Lee is reportedly moving forward with plans to have Wesley Snipes star as James Brown in an upcoming biopic, even though the actor is awaiting appeal on a three-year prison sentence for tax evasion.

“We’re doing it together, it’s going to happen,” Lee told MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival. The filmmaker first announced his determination to make the film the day after Brown’s death.

Like the Ray Charles biopic “Ray,” the Brown film will feature the singer’s voice dubbed over Snipes’ vocals when the songs are played. “I want to hear James Brown’s voice. That’s just my personal taste,” explained Lee.

Snipes, who signed on for the role in 2007, was sentenced to three years in prison in April 2008 following a conviction on federal income tax evasion.
He will have to squeeze in the film before Snipes’ appeal. Lee’s 2009 slate already includes a planned “Inside Man” sequel and a Michael Jordan documentary.

to come out. The producers behind his first single “Prom Queen” ,
Infamous & Drew Correa, say “There were rumors Wayne was working on
a rock album, but I assumed it was just 808 drums with guitars on it,”
Infamous said. “But, that night when we worked on the track,
said he wanted lots of drums, bass and guitars. Drew started to add

Atlanta rapper Rocko has been sentenced to 48 hours in prison after he pleaded no contest to striking a woman during an altercation in February of 2007. Rocko pleaded no contest to battery charges during the incident, in which he struck the woman, causing injuries and contusions to her face and eyes.

Rocko, born Rodney Hill Jr., is engaged to R&B singer Monica and the couple have two children together.

The rapper is the CEO of Rocky Road Records and released his debut album Self Made through a distribution deal with So So Def/Island Urban. Rocko, who has also worked with artists like Hitman Sammy Sam, Young Dro and Dem Franchize Boyz, hit big with his own single “Umma Do Me.

” He must also serve 12 months probation and complete an unspecified amount of community service.

The dispute was said to last more than an entire week until the BET staff finally buckled under pressure after threats from Blige’s camp to withdraw completely from the event.

Said the event organizer, “The disagreement escalated all the way up the BET chain of command. It got ugly.”  In the end, Keyshia Cole wound up paying tribute to legendary choreographer Judith Jamison while Anita Baker and Monica sang the salute to Mary J.

Singer MaShonda went on Shade 45’s Lip Service Radio with Angela Yee recently and confirmed that Alicia Keys was responsible for breaking up her marriage. According to MaShonda, she saw a change in Swizz Beats behavior which resulted in her looking through his receipts. She realized that the receipts matched up with the time frame he was on tour with Alicia and that’s when she started suspecting that he was cheating on her.

We just got wind of a CRAZY RUMOR. According to the reputable adult industry website AVN.com, rapper Kanye West made an EXPLOSIVE claim to King Magazine. In a recent interview with King, rapper Kanye West allegedly claimed that he wanted to make an adult film.

The Secret Service had a bigger job than protecting the Obama family last night.

After Jay-Z finished rehearsal for his pre-inaugural concert, he and wife Beyoncé found out police had shut down streets around the Warner Theater. Cops told the star couple they’d have to walk four blocks to meet their driver.

“Beyoncé wouldn’t walk in high heels in the cold,” says our spy. “The cops wouldn’t budge, but the Secret Service agreed to let the driver pick Jay and Beyoncé up, bring them to their hotel so they could change, and get them back to the theater.”

How cold was it? Before he went on, Jay-Z was supposed to leave his hand prints in a block of cement destined for the theater’s star-studded sidewalk. But the cement froze.

Jigga, who wowed the crowd with surprise guests Young Jeezy, John Legend, Mary J. Blige and the missus, told us he spoke Sunday with President-elect Obama: “He had an eagerness about him. He really wants to get to work.”

D’Angelo has enlisted Prince and Cee-Lo Green of Gnarls Barkley to help with his long-awaited comeback album, James River, which is expected to finally drop this summer on J Records.

D’Angelo already has collaborations with Raphael Saadiq, Roy Hargrove and Mark Ronson in the can.

James River will be D’Angelo’s first studio album since Voodoo in 2000.

D’Angelo’s also planning his first major tour in several years; he will perform in Europe this summer then tour the United States.

The dates and venues are still being lined up.

Billboard.com reminds that in recent years the troubled artist has endured a serious car accident and drug-related arrests, and in lieu of new music of his own, he’s made sporadic guest appearances on albums by Common, Snoop Dogg, Q-Tip and J Dilla.

“He’s able to smile again and he’s ready to connect ,” Guion told Billboard last summer. “He’s coming back. And he looks great, by the way.”

Gina Conway, the ex-girlfriend of rap star Max B., told authorities on Tuesday (January 13) that the former Dipset member masterminded a deadly 2006 robbery that left one man dead.

Conway was set to go on trial this week for her role in the shooting. Instead, she accepted a plea deal of manslaughter to avoid life imprisonment on a murder conviction.

At her March 21 sentencing, she faces a maximum of 18 years in prison on the admitted armed robbery and manslaughter charges.

The September 2006 armed robbery took place at the Fort Lee Holiday Inn along New Jersey’s Route 4.

In her deal, Conway stated she was recruited by her ex-boyfriend Max. B (Charly Wingate) to rob David Taylor and Allan “Jay” Plowden.

The plot was allegedly hatched after Conway informed Max that the two men kept high amounts of cash on them.

Later, the rapper allegedly recruited a third conspirator in Kelvin Leerdam.

The night of the robbery, prosecutors charge that the group subdued Plowden at gunpoint with duct-tape.

Although they were able to retrieve $30,000 from the hotel room, the trio allegedly waited until Taylor arrived in hopes of stealing more money.

Once David Taylor arrived, he was killed execution-style with a shot to the head.

Both Max B. and Kelvin are charged with murder and face 30 years to life imprisonment if convicted.

Since being released on a reputed $2 million dollar bail in July 2007, Max B. has recorded several mixtapes and worked on his long-awaited official debut.

Max B.’s murder trial will be tried in Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

At press time, a date has not been announced

Jennifer Hudson is using sports’ grandest stage — the Super Bowl — to make her return to the spotlight following the slayings of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew.

NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy confirmed Wednesday that Hudson will sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl in Tampa, Fla., on Feb. 1. E! News first reported Tuesday that Hudson would perform.

Hudson hasn’t made a public appearance since her 57-year-old mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson; 29-year-old brother Jason Hudson; and 7-year-old nephew Julian King were slain in Chicago in October. Her estranged brother-in-law has been charged in the killings.

Hudson, who had released her self-titled debut album shortly before the killings, is also scheduled to sing at the Grammys‘ MusiCares event in Los Angeles a few days later. She is nominated for four awards at the Feb. 8 Grammy Awards.

The 27-year-old Hudson already has an Oscar to her credit, a best supporting actress win for her role in “Dreamgirls.” The former “American Idol” contestant’s career was continuing its skyrocketing rise, with featured roles in movies like “Sex and the City” and “The Secret Life of Bees,” as well as her album release, when the slayings occurred.

The rapper Rich Boy won’t be so rich if an Alabama man can help it.

Mosley sued Rich Boy and his brother Irvin O.

The Alabama lawsuit said Mosley was “returning from a gathering with friends” when Rich Boy’s Cadillac shot out without warning in front of his car. Rich Boy’s brother opened fire with an assault rifle from the Caddy, with at least 10 bullets penetrating Mosley’s car and one bullet shattering the headrest, sending fragments into his head, at the next stoplight, the lawsuit said.

Irvin Richards is now serving a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to assault, the lawsuit said.

Rich Boy got probation and Mosley hit back at the rapper’s pocketbook. On Sept. 12, a Mobile jury found the rapper owed Mosley $312,500 in punitive damages, plus $25,000 in compensatory damages. Rich Boy’s publicist, Greg Miller, said he didn’t know if his client planned to pay up.

They know she’s good TV and want her to be apart of the program. But, they’ve also got their eye on Atlanta’s popular On-Air personality Frank Ski’s lovely wife Tanya Ski as well as Dr. Jay’s wife Dorys.

Rumors had been circulating that NeNe Leakes was going to be cut from the show over the unflattering information that was leaked, which proves that she’s not as paid as first suggested. There was even talk of NeNe getting her own show.

My source also told me that one more ‘housewife’ might get the boot too. I hear Kim S. is on thin ice with Bravo and might not be around when taping for the second episode starts in February.

I already know that Usher isn’t going to allow Tameka to get involved with this project. We have confirmed reports of a second altercation between DJ Drama’s Aphilliates and members of the CTE family.

According to Aphilliates Music Group president La The Darkman, DJ Drama was assaulted by members of Young Jeezy’s entourage last night (January 12), yet walked away from the incident unscathed.

“There was a little scuffle. At a movie screening,” La told AllHipHop.com, “A little thing that got handled. Fake thugs with low self esteem want to pick on the DJ’s. We definitely didn’t initiate this though. DJs don’t go looking for beef with fake gangstas.”

Bizzy Bone, a member of the successful rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, was robbed last week in California according to the Los Angeles Times. The newspaper blog claims that the Midwest Rapper was assaulted and chocked by several men at his Universal Hilton hotel room before he was robbed of his jewelry. Authorities have reportedly arrested a man, an anti-gang worker, they believe is responsible for the January 5th crime. Identified as Marlo “Bow Wow” Jones, the man works for Unity One, an anti-gang organization hired by the city of L.A. to help keep peace in the community. Jones is currently being held at the Parker Center Jail and his bail was set at $1.1 million dollars.

Barack Obama sure knows how to draw an A-list crowd!The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced Monday that Sunday’s kick-off event, We Are One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial, will feature performances from Beyonce, Sheryl Crow, and Bruce Springsteen.

Also scheduled to hit the stage are Mary J. Blige, Bono, Garth Brooks, Josh Groban, John Legend, John Mellencamp, Usher Raymond IV, Shakira, James Taylor, will.i.a.m, Stevie Wonder, Renee Fleming, Herbie Hancock, Heather Headley and Jennifer Nettles.

Jamie Foxx, Martin Luther King III, Queen Latifah and Denzel Washington will read historical passages, while Reverend V. Gene Robinson will give the invocation.

“Our intention is to root the event in history, celebrating the moments when our nation has united to face great challenges and prevail,” George Stevens Jr., the gala’s executive producer, said in a statement. “We will combine historical readings by prominent actors with music from an array of the greatest stars of today.”

The event, at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., is free to the public and will be broadcast from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST by HBO on Sunday, Jan. 18.

Koch Records has announced that Harlem, New York rapper Jim Jones has joined the company’s executive staff, as Vice President of Urban A&R. Jones will be responsible for singing and developing new talent for the Urban division of Koch Records, which is the #1 independent record label in the United States. “It feels good to know that the hard work has been recognized by the same people that have helped me get to this point in my career,” Jones told sources in a statement. “They recognize that I’m not only an artist but a person that can smell talent and be able to mold a superstar.” Jim Jones’ solo albums On My Way to Church (2004), Harlem: Diary of a Summer (2005) and Hustler’s P.O.M.E. (2006) were all released via Koch Records. Hustler’s P.O.M.E. contained Jones’ massive hit single “We Fly High (Ballin’).” According to Alan Grunblatt, General Manager for Koch, Jones successes as a recording artist have helped put the label “on the map.” “He truly knows what it takes to make a hit record. I am thrilled to be working with him for many years to come,” Grunblatt said. The first release under Jones’ tenure with Koch will be the debut album by Juelz Santana’s new group, Skull Gang, which is due in stores February 24. New singles from the album, “Body Like Mazi” and “Rock Starr” featuring Lil Wayne and Starr are scheduled to impact radio in the coming weeks. Juelz Santana is also working on a new studio album that will be released in late 2009.

R&B star Ne-Yo has admitted to catching Young Jeezy naked.

After moving into an exclusive Atlanta neighbourhood, Ne-Yo has discovered he lives next door to rapper Young Jeezy.

He lives so close that he admitted to have seen the rapper naked.

Speaking to America’s People Magazine, Ne-Yo said

Comedian and actor Katt Williams has been buzzing all over the internet lately following his highly-publicized comedic massacre of elder jokester Steve Harvey at a New Years Eve show in Detroit.

But later that night, Williams hit up Cutters, an East Side club in the Motor City, and wound up taking the microphone. Already on a high after a stellar performance, Williams begin to freestyle for the crowd…he then turned his attention to an unsuspecting guy on the dance floor and begin cracking jokes about his outfit. Before the routine was up, the angry man in the crowd gave the partygoers something to laugh at for real: he walked over and smacked Katt Williams in the face.

VIBE.com found the slapper, who asked to remain anonymous due to worries of a lawsuit, to get his side of the story.

According to him, he came to the club following a high school cabaret.

“I was probably with like 16, 17 dudes, we were scattered out throughout the club,” the anonymous man, who lives in Detroit’s Jeffrey Projects, said. “Basically we were just up in there having a good time.”

Williams passed the man, who was wearing a cowboy outfit consisting of a pair of “$5,000 gator boots,” as he headed to the stage. When Williams took the microphone and begin to freestyle, things turned ugly.

“I wasn’t even paying attention,” the man says. “I was talking to someone else while he was doing it. And then he pointed at me. I walked over to a couple of friends of mine, and they told me, ‘He’s clowning you.’ So I walked over there and asked , ‘So what you say? I don’t play that joke sh*t.’ So he was like, ‘And what?’ He didn’t even admit what he said when I asked him.”

The man said he proceeded to pimp slap the pint-sized star of “The Pimp Chronicles,” who was recently hospitalized in South Carolina for a mental evaluation.

“He was still on some comedy stuff after I slapped him, I swear,” the man says baffled. “After I slapped him, he jumped back and he was still talking and it was some girls holding him back. It was actually some girls in the club grabbing bottles like they wanted to do something to me too, like trying to protect him. He stopped and actually grabbed a square and was trying to light his cigarette. It was on some comedy stuff to me. He was trying to get his square lit, he took like two puffs, and he tried to charge back at me. But at this time, the security was heading me towards the door.”

Rihanna, one pop star who is never far from a leotard, is going to have to cover up for a concert in Malaysia on February 13th. The Muslim country’s laws dictate that a female performer has to be covered from the shoulders to the knees. The wardrobe from her “Good Girl Gone Bad” tour is going to have to go through a major overhaul in order to comply with decency regulations. Multiple female acts have visited the country recently, and have had to cover up in order to comply with the decency law.

Billed “In Concert on the Eve of Change,” the “intimate performance” will take place at the 1,847-capacity Warner Theater and will feature Jay performing with his full band.

Tickets for the performance go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Katt Williams made a surprise visit to WJLB radio station last night to talk to Dr. Darrius about what happened. According to his story, he was in the club and a guy with a cowboy hat and boots was grilling him. He then came over and sucker punched Katt in hopes of taking his jewelry. Atleast 3-4 callers called in during the show who were at the club and accused Katt of lying about what really happened including a guy who threatened he was going to come out looking for him that night.

A meeting with New York City authorities this morning (January 5) has resulted in a misdemeanor assault charge for rapper Jim Jones.

The Dipset leader turned himself in to the NYPD’s 18th Precinct to discuss an alleged Christmas Eve altercation.

According to several conflicting reports, Jones was involved in a melee with singer/songwriter Ne-Yo and members of his entourage at the Fifth Avenue Louis Vuitton store in Manhattan on December 24.

Jones surrendered to the NYPD in accordance with arrangements made by attorney Scott Leemon last week, Leemon told AllHipHop.com

While details of the incident remain unclear, the information provided by Jones was enough to warrant a charge and a summons for a desk appearance.

He is scheduled to appear in court on February 4. Jones was released without bail immediately after making his statement, Leemon told AllHipHop.

He declined to comment further on the case.

As for Jones, he has declined to speak on the matter, despite several public appearances over the holidays.

At press time, a spokesperson for the NYPD could not be reached for comment.

Jennifer Hudson will not be singing at Barack Obama’s inauguration on January 20, despite reports to the contrary, her rep told Access Hollywood. “There is no truth to this,” the rep said.

The things left at the house were thrown into the pool, leaving the only sign of DMX being an old magazine cover hanging out of a car window. X paid around $600,000 for the house in 2003 and the bank set the sale price for $429,000. DMX is currently in jail, waiting to be sentenced on animal cruelty, theft and drug convictions.
