Jay Z Breaks Down The Beanie Sigel Saga

Posted on 02 Nov 2009 at 10:16am

Jay-Z has responded to the barbed words of Beanie Sigel, in the aftermath of a diss song called “What You Talkin Bout (I Ain’t Your Average Cat)” at a Canadian Press conference.

Jay-Z appeared at Montreal’s Bell Centre to answer questions from writers and reporters.

Sigel, once a prominent rapper in Jay’s Roc-A-Fella Records, expressed a number of issues with his former comrade. These matters ranged from loyalty to allegations that he had Sigel removed from a concert in Philadelphia by police.

Jay-Z made no mention of most questions that bothered Sigel, but he did say he felt he helped his counterpart greatly in an interview conducted with larueduhiphop.com.

“Beanie Sigel, to be honest and you can look it up, just to be honest…was driving two Bentleys. I don’t know how,” Jay-Z said at a press conference to the Canadian Hip-Hop site. “Its impossible to drive two cars at the same time. With his momma in the sticks, selling 800,000. I don’t know what more you can do for somebody.”

“What people choose to do when they obtain that type of success, at some point you gotta look in the mirror and look at yourself,” Jay continued. “Beanie Sigel had a record deal, a record label and a clothing line…and never went platinum. Ever. I don’t know in the history of rap has anyone done so much with so little. So, I don’t know what more can you do for a person at that point. A record deal – that’s normal. A record label and a clothing line. If that’s not pushing the person…s**t.”

Chuck D Tells Gucci Man To Kill Himself

Posted on 23 Oct 2009 at 1:07pm

As you know, Chuck D is one of the most respected Hip-Hoppers out there! He took a position after Gucci Mane made some statements about Jay-Z being the hottest rapper/

This is the original statement:

“Jay-Z’s just getting started. Gucci Mane, he’d be better off jumping in a swimming pool with a plugged in toaster.”

And here is what he meant, if anybody took him 100% seriously.

Of course metaphorically speaking, rather than going head to head rhyming against JAY-Z

“Its my outside third party opinion. Gucci Mane can probably raps circles around my old ass …but er…not JAY-Z. Sorry. I’m pretty sure Gucci Mane a fine young man, but as far as getting in the ring with JAY-Z in any RAP way…I don’t see it. Nothing personal. But uhhh… NO.”

“Well, I’m sure that GUCCI MANE is still looking for JAY-Z to respond. It’s what he wanted. He should.”

Again that’s the up and coming challenger throwing a egg at Floyd Mayweather. I’m just a fan of it all in the seats. GUCCI MANE is fun and all but… JAY-Z is a martial artist with this s**t.

Jay Z and Alicia Keys To Re-Do Performance at American Music Awards

Posted on 20 Oct 2009 at 6:06pm

Fans will have another chance to see Jay-Z and Alicia Keys perform their New York anthem “Empire State of Mind” next month. Extra TV is reporting that the duo will be hitting the stage at the American Music Awards.

Lil Mama notoriously crashed Hov and Keys’ set last September during the MTV Video Music Awards. Only time will tell if a similar stunt will interrupt this performance.

“We are thrilled to have Jay-Z and Alicia Keys on stage together, both are such talented artists, it’s sure to be a memorable performance,” the ceremony’s producer Larry Klein told Extra.

The two NY natives will join an all-star roster which already includes the Black Eyed Peas, Jennifer Lopez and American Idol alum Adam Lambert. The American Music Awards are set to air on Sunday, November 22 on ABC.

Pharrell Did A No Show At Jay Z Show

Posted on 20 Oct 2009 at 11:53am

Pharrell was supposed to perform with Jay-Z on a Washington DC stage but never showed. We wonder why.

Apparently, Pharrell was there to open the show with NERD but wasn’t around when he was supposed to join Jay-Z on stage to perform “So Ambitious” off the BluePrint 3 album. Hmm… what’s that all about? We hear the audience had to sing Pharrell’s part and Jay-Z looked confused as hell.

50 Cent Replies To Jay-Z ..Calls Him A “Punk”

Posted on 01 Oct 2009 at 10:10am

Mikey: Fiddy stopped by the Angie Martinez show this afternoon to talk about his upcoming 50 fest concert in NYC, and of course address the hoopla of Jay-z saying “no one is scared of 50 cent”.

Jay-Z became irritated when a reporter suggested that West would not have stormed the stage at the 2009 VMA’s, had 50 Cent been an accepting an award instead of country singer Taylor Swift.

Jay Z:

“I think he would have done that if that was 50 Cent,” Jay-Z also told reporter. “No one is scared of 50 Cent. I want everyone to be clear. No one is scared of 50 Cent.”

50 Cent:

“Hip-Hop has cool punk and Jay is the coolest punk in Hip-Hop. He’s big. And his take on it is bigger than the art form and so he won’t compete. But, Battling has been a part of the culture.”

Although 50 Cent went on to say that he did not have any problems with Jay-Z, he firmly stated that no one would storm his stage if put in the same situation.

“When he has to say no one is scared of 50 Cent, it’s because the public is responding to his punk presentation,” 50 Cent said. “Kanye wouldn’t take the trophy from me and neither would Jay-Z.”

The rapper took numerous shots at Kanye West during the interview, implying that Chicago emcee could be homosexual, due to his association with Lady GaGa’s upcoming “Fame Kills Tours.”

50 also revealed that Shady Records boss Eminem is not happy with the track “Forever,” which features Drake, Kanye West and Lil Wayne.

“I don’t think Em knew everyone was going to be on the record,” 50 Cent said. “Initially I think he just did a verse with it. He mixed his records and then they remixed it. I don’t think he’s happy with that at all.”

50 Cent is currently preparing for his upcoming Thisis50 Festival, which takes place October 3 at The Beach on Governors Island.

The rapper said he will debut new music from his upcoming album Before I Self Destruct during the festival this weekend.

T-Pain explains Why He Dissed Jay Z and Jay Responds

Posted on 09 Sep 2009 at 10:39am

T-Pain called into the Power 105 Morning Show with Ed Lover and Free this morning and revealed why he verbally attacked Jay-z during a show in Vegas this past weekend. It seems as though while everyone else thought it was all good in the hood after the release of “D.O.A”, T-Pain felt like he was being dissed on the low:

This aint the first time I done said it. Nothing has changed. I called Jay and I said can you come out on my set and do the D.O.A song, it’ll be a big look for me and you. I embrace the song, I love the song and don’t get me wrong Jay-z is the best in the game period. I would never say anything different. At that time he said “yo I’m triple booked, I’m in Switzerland right now, I can’t do it”. Then I’m ready to go on stage after Jeezy set and they said “hold on, Jay-z is about to come out with Jeezy” and I said ” Jay-z is in switzerland”. They say “no he’s not, he’s right there” and I look to the side and there’s Jay-z. So he gets on the stage and when he gets to the part where he says “I don’t need anyone smiling at this” he pointed at me and then at the end of the song when I tried to shake his hand, he turned around, gave the mic to someone and said “good riddance”.

T-Pain also went on to say that Jay-z’s manager Jay Brown thought it would be a good idea for him to go on stage during the song, but after the concert Jay-z said during an interview that he didn’t know why T-Pain came up there and he thought T-Pain was a fan at first. He also said he had set up google alerts on Jay-z’s name to see if he would atleast once clarify that he wasn’t talking about T-Pain in the song during his interviews and he never did. T-Pain’s feelings were hurt because he’s a big fan of Jay-z’s so he dissed him in Vegas as a way to gain his attention and get Jay-z to finally address the situation. He tells Ed Lover, that he felt so much better after hearing Jay-z speak on it during his visit to the Ed Lover Morning Show yesterday Morning:

I made it very clear I wasn’t talking about him. I think he’s talented, I don’t think he needs auto tune to sell records but if that’s his prerogative, everybody has a birthday. They don’t have much else to say, they can’t attack my credentials as an artist or my lyrics as an emcee.

Meanwhile, Fabolous took to his twitter page last night and “went in” on T-Pain because someone told him that T-Pain had said “F*ck Fabolous” on his twitter page. Here’s his vent:

After D.O.A., #tpainbetter not be mad, UPS is hiring!!

#tpainbetter not meet me in Brooklyn.

#tpainbetter give Mr. Monopoly back his top hats!!

#tpainbetter stay his a** outta the sun for the rest of his life!!

#tpainbetter stop playin for JayZ buys every autotune machine in the world & end his career

“#uknowhowiknowuregay cuz u do a song wit Lil Wayne & change ur name to T-Wayne…eeeel

#tpainbetter audition to be a California Raisin.. He’s done!

#tpainbetter stop singin in the fan… that aint talent we can all do that..

#tpainbetter apologize & blame it on the al-a-a-al-a-al-cohol

#tpainbetter thank me.. he’s #1 TT.. the only place his name gonna b #1 for a lonnnggggggg time!

Fab then realized the T-Pain page was a fake one with only 900 followers and promptly apologized saying “Ooops, damn I went in”. He also claimed it was not a beef, just twitter fun. T-Pain responded this morning on Power 105 by saying that if he had a problem with someone, he’d go and address them to their face and if Fab had a problem with what he said about Jay-z in Vegas he should have said something. “ I mean if somebody had a problem with Akon and they start dissin him then Im goin back stage and figure whats up”. T-Pain and Fabolous talked last night and everyone is cool.

JAY-Z ‘HITS THE ROOF’ OVER BROWN SCANDAL!!!

Posted on 11 Feb 2009 at 8:31am

CHRIS BROWN is set to incur the wrath of hip-hop king JAY-Z over his alleged assault on R&B star RIHANNA.

Brown was arrested on Sunday (08Feb09) for felony battery after an incident with an as yet unidentified woman, reported to be Rihanna, in a vehicle in Los Angeles.

And Jay-Z, who discovered and mentored Rihanna, was reportedly enraged upon hearing the allegations, warning of retributions for Brown.
A source tells Us Weekly magazine, “He hit the roof. Chris is a walking dead man. He messed with the wrong crew.”

50 CENT SAIDS RICK ROSS COULD GET MURDERED!!! BRINGS UP JAY-Z AS WELL!!!

Posted on 06 Feb 2009 at 11:17am

50 Cent continued his Rick Ross bashing media tour by appearing on Miami’s Power 96 radio station First 50 says that Rick Ross doesn’t have the money he says he does stating “I have artists who have more money then Rick Ross’ continuing, “He’s a fraud… I feel like there is something wrong from a hip hop prospective for you to be a part of law enforcement and totally write your career that you are the biggest drug dealer in Miami”
When asked if he is scared the beef with Rick Ross could escalate to the level of Biggie and Tupac, 50 replied “In all honesty, if he went far enough for me to be agitated from my end, that could happen to him.” When asked if he would ever diss or attack anyone if they didn’t go at him first 50 said no, of course not, saying “it would make absolutely no sense.” 50 says the beef is part of hip-hop and if he didn’t respond to Ross “then that would mean I’m saying I’m bigger then the actual artform. That I’m not willing to compete as a hip-hop artist.” In the latest interview, 50 talked about dealing with his problems himself unlike Jay-Z saying Jigga “brought artists around him to deal with altercations instead of him having to deal with them. When he had issues with Jadakiss, it was Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss because he put someone in front of him. When he had issues with Cam’ron, he had Tru Life smack Cam’ron

THE ROOT OF JAY Z AND DAME DASH’S FEUD IS DECEASED SINGER AALIYAH!!!

Posted on 27 Jan 2009 at 12:58pm

Rumors are flying around that the real reason Jay Z and Dame Dash fell out is because of Aaliyah:
Trying to stir up interest in his upcoming Roc-A-Fella documentary, reveals what everybody already knows that one of the reason’s behind the Dame Dash / Jay Z clash was Aaliyah. Choke tells Hip Hop Weekly,

“Both Jay and Dame was involved with a certain R&B singer, who I’m not gonna say her name out of respect ’cause she ain’t around to defend herself, but I believe that was a part of the initial friction. I was seeing Jay with her back around 2000, then Dame… …was with her after. All you have to do is look at the movie they did, Death of a Dynasty. In the movie they were fighting over a model. In real life she was a model, but singing is what she was known for first.”

You have to wonder if that will be addressed in Aaliayh new movie?  We all know how stunningly beautiful Aaliyah was, but promiscuous???

WHY!!! RADIO PERSONALITY TOM JOYNER CLAIMS BEYONCE IS UPSET SHE MARRIED JAY Z … CALLS JIGGA A THUG!!!

Posted on 25 Jan 2009 at 7:27pm

It looks like radio personality Tom Joyner is going in on Jay Z. Tom was on the air BLASTING Jay Z last week. According to the radio personality, Beyonce made a poor decision in marrying the popular NY rapper.

Here in an excerpt of what Tom said on his show – written by one of MediaTakeOut.com’s faithful readers:

“She knows that she doesn’t have someone like Barack and she was just looking around thinking about the choices that she’s made. She should take a cue from JLo and leave the thugs alone. JLo knew what to do”

Tom reportedly went on to say the following:

“It’s cool to have someone with an education. Degrees are ‘in’ again and Beyonce looked at her mate and started to cry because she knew that she was never going to be Michelle or by like Michelle…

She has GOT to be thinking twice about that ‘put a ring on it’ song. All of that goes out the window now and she wants to take all of that stuff back. I mean, she’s crying, looks to her side, starts crying even more and says to herself ‘I’m never going to be like Michelle.

I’m never going to be in the White House as The First Lady and I’m never going to win an Oscar as long as I am with this thug!!!!

On last night’s Bill O’Reilly show, that right wing nut brought on a bunch of crazies to try and link Barack to Jeezy and Jay Z’s concert.

DIVA’S!!!JAY-Z AND BEYONCE GETS SASSY WITH POLICE IN D.C!!!

Posted on 21 Jan 2009 at 2:00pm

The Secret Service had a bigger job than protecting the Obama family last night.

After Jay-Z finished rehearsal for his pre-inaugural concert, he and wife Beyoncé found out police had shut down streets around the Warner Theater. Cops told the star couple they’d have to walk four blocks to meet their driver.

“Beyoncé wouldn’t walk in high heels in the cold,” says our spy. “The cops wouldn’t budge, but the Secret Service agreed to let the driver pick Jay and Beyoncé up, bring them to their hotel so they could change, and get them back to the theater.”

How cold was it? Before he went on, Jay-Z was supposed to leave his hand prints in a block of cement destined for the theater’s star-studded sidewalk. But the cement froze.

Jigga, who wowed the crowd with surprise guests Young Jeezy, John Legend, Mary J. Blige and the missus, told us he spoke Sunday with President-elect Obama: “He had an eagerness about him. He really wants to get to work.”

BROKE!!! JAY Z MAY HAVE TO START RAPPING AGAIN!!!

Posted on 30 Dec 2008 at 10:21am

Could Jay Z be facing some financial pressure?  We spoke with one highly influential entertainment insider who questioned whether Jay Z’s financial situation is as strong as is being reported on many of the FORBES lists.

The insider, explained, “Jay Z and Damon Dash owned everything 50-50 – Rocawear, Rocafella, everything … when they separated, everything was split in half. Now 3 years later Dame is broke and Jay Z’s worth 500 million, that just doesn’t make sense.”

And the insider continues, “What businesses has Jay Z been involved in since – restaurants, real estate, and music. Those are probably the three worst business to be in right now … I’m not saying that Jay Z’s broke, but I can tell you one thing – he has nowhere near the amount of money that those magazines are saying he does.”

ITS ABOUT TO GO DOWN!!! JAY Z TO ADDRESS JIM JONES AT CONCERT!!!

Posted on 26 Dec 2008 at 1:18pm

I have a friend of a friend of a friend that works with Ludacris and they hippped me to something that might go down this weekend. There is a concert coming out over the weekend that features T.I., Jeezy, Jim Jones and Nina Sky. Well, I am hearing T.I. is going to have an incredible set, but Ludacris is going to get all the attention. I am hearing Luda is bringing out Nas, Jadakiss, and Jay-Z. The strange thing is that Jim Jones is on the stage the set prior to Luda. Both nas and Jay have an ongoing tiff with J.J. Now, with this whole fight thing at the Louie store in NYC, I am hearing something is about to brew. I heard Jay is going to “address some things” at the concert and needs like five minutes.

RAPPER JIM JONES STOMPS OUT NE-YO AND JAY Z’S PAL IN A NEW YORK STORE!!!

Posted on 24 Dec 2008 at 8:27am

An ALL OUT war appears to have just broke out in New York between rapper Jim Jones and rival Jay Z. And Jim Jones won the first battle.

For weeks now popular NYC based rapper Jim Jones has been taking verbal swipes against Jay Z. But Monday, things went from verbal to physical – and unfortunately R&B singer Ne-Yo got caught up in it.

Things came to a head on Monday at NYC’s ultra-luxurious Louis Vuitton store on Fifth Avenue. Jim Jones and a group of men ran into Jay Z’s best friend Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith and R&B singer Ne-Yo while doing some Christmas shopping.

Then, according to a witness, one of Jimmy’s pals made a disparaging comment about Jay Z to Ty Ty. And when the 5 foot 4 Ty Ty responded – things really popped off.

The insider explained, “It was total chaos – Ty Ty got stomped out right there in the store – I though they were going to kill him. And when Ne-Yo tried to break it up, he got stomped too … someone had their foot on Ne-Yo’s neck!!!

No word on the extent of injuries that either man faced. But our source claims that neither appeared to suffer serious injuries.

Representatives for Jay Z and Jim Jones were not available for comment at the time of publication.

JAY Z IS PISSED!!! ASKED NOT TO ATTEND OBAMA’S INAUGURATION!!!

Posted on 21 Dec 2008 at 12:56pm

There’s been tons of speculation as to which artists will be performing at the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama. But we can tell you for sure which artist WON’T!!

A well placed insider who claims that the Obama camp has asked Jay Z not to attend the Inauguration. The insider explained,

“Some of Jay Z’s lyrics make him a lightnig rod for criticism, that’s not what Barack Obama needs at the start of his administration … Too many people are looking for reasons to criticize Obama already, why give them more ammunition.”

We’re kinda with Obama’s folk on this one. Camel face did have some pretty reckless lyrics in the past…

BEYONCE KNOWLES SAYS BEING MARRIED TO JAY-Z IS A “POWER STRUGGLE!!!

Posted on 17 Dec 2008 at 12:29pm

The 27-year-old singer – who wed the music mogul in April – admits the
relationship can sometimes be tiring, but she wouldn’t have it any other
way.
She said: “My marriage is a power struggle. But if I didn’t respect someone,
and they didn’t have that strength, then I would be bored. I wouldn’t be
attracted to them.”
Beyonce also revealed her mother Tina was banned from the set when she
filmed upcoming movie ‘Cadillac Records’, because she wasn’t used to seeing
her daughter curse.
Beyonce, who plays blues singer Etta James
in the film, added to America’s
Elle magazine
: “My mom had to leave the set. I don’t normally curse. Maybe
twice a year. I have to be really livid. Somebody saying things or
scheduling something where I’m not in control.
“Cursing was freeing, but the shoot was also the most emotionally draining
time of my life. Every day I would come home – my eyes would be completely
swollen.”
