Jim Jones, better known to the government as Joeseph Guillermo, was arrested Monday (4-6) morning for an outstanding warrant in Tea Neck, New Jersey while he was driving around midnight. Jim was driving his 2007 black Bentley when a Teaneck police officer noticed he was missing a front license plate. After stopping Jones, they found he had an outstanding warrant and arrested him. Jim Jones even twittered about being arrested saying
“I decide to drive by myself let’s see how this plays out,” he wrote unmodified prior to the arrest. “Misses officer let me go the funny part was watching them have to count all the money in my pocket lol I must say they were very cool…And it was a punk ass warrant from 2005 for 120 dollars…Make sure you pay old tickets.”
According to our sources, last night rapper Jim Jones was at a Detroit nightclub called Esko, when a group of men dressed in all black walked in and rushed his VIP booth.
The men reportedly pulled out guns and opened fire in the club – allegedly at Jim Jones. While 4 shots were fired and a fight erupted, Jim Jones managed to escape uninjured. Unfortunately two clubgoers were shot.
And it gets worse – one of the men shot was popular Detroit rapper Trick Trick. According to our sources, Trick Trick was with Jim Jones when the attempted assassination occurred – and Trick Trick may have saved Jim Jones’ life.
Both gunshot victims are in stable condition.

EDITOR’S UPDATE – Trick Trick called into local Detroit radio station WKQI claiming that he WAS NOT in the club last night when the shooting occurred. Despite Trick Trick’s denials, police officers told the Detroit Free Press that Trick Trick was INDEED at the club and was IN FACT shot.
Jim Jones is the ultimate confrontation king. Today a video surfaced that shows Jimmy getting into an argument with hotel security . After Jones was harassed in their hotel rooms due to their large entourages, he decided to leave and outside the hotel he got into it with the hotel’s security. “Yeah, we know you a h*mo,” Jones says. “You a f*ggot too, came out here like you were gonna do something. Hyatt security, that’s your badge? You a dweeb…I ain’t giving you sh*t, now just say I robbed you, b*tch. You crazy. And we’re gonna YouTube your ass, we’re gonna make you famous in the morning, d**khead.”

Jones will be responsible for singing and developing new talent for the Urban division of Koch Records, which is the #1 independent record label in the United States. “It feels good to know that the hard work has been recognized by the same people that have helped me get to this point in my career,” Jones told sources in a statement. “They recognize that I’m not only an artist but a person that can smell talent and be able to mold a superstar.” Jim Jones’ solo albums On My Way to Church (2004), Harlem: Diary of a Summer (2005) and Hustler’s P.O.M.E. Juelz Santana is also working on a new studio album that will be released in late 2009.
A meeting with New York City authorities this morning (January 5) has resulted in a misdemeanor assault charge for rapper Jim Jones.
The Dipset leader turned himself in to the NYPD’s 18th Precinct to discuss an alleged Christmas Eve altercation.
According to several conflicting reports, Jones was involved in a melee with singer/songwriter Ne-Yo and members of his entourage at the Fifth Avenue Louis Vuitton store in Manhattan on December 24.
Jones surrendered to the NYPD in accordance with arrangements made by attorney Scott Leemon last week, Leemon told AllHipHop.com
While details of the incident remain unclear, the information provided by Jones was enough to warrant a charge and a summons for a desk appearance.
He is scheduled to appear in court on February 4. Jones was released without bail immediately after making his statement, Leemon told AllHipHop.
He declined to comment further on the case.
As for Jones, he has declined to speak on the matter, despite several public appearances over the holidays.
At press time, a spokesperson for the NYPD could not be reached for comment.
I have a friend of a friend of a friend that works with Ludacris and they hippped me to something that might go down this weekend. There is a concert coming out over the weekend that features T.I., Jeezy, Jim Jones and Nina Sky. Well, I am hearing T.I. is going to have an incredible set, but Ludacris is going to get all the attention. I am hearing Luda is bringing out Nas, Jadakiss, and Jay-Z. The strange thing is that Jim Jones is on the stage the set prior to Luda. Both nas and Jay have an ongoing tiff with J.J. Now, with this whole fight thing at the Louie store in NYC, I am hearing something is about to brew. I heard Jay is going to “address some things” at the concert and needs like five minutes.
An ALL OUT war appears to have just broke out in New York between rapper Jim Jones and rival Jay Z. And Jim Jones won the first battle.
For weeks now popular NYC based rapper Jim Jones has been taking verbal swipes against Jay Z. But Monday, things went from verbal to physical – and unfortunately R&B singer Ne-Yo got caught up in it.
Things came to a head on Monday at NYC’s ultra-luxurious Louis Vuitton store on Fifth Avenue. Jim Jones and a group of men ran into Jay Z’s best friend Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith and R&B singer Ne-Yo while doing some Christmas shopping.
Then, according to a witness, one of Jimmy’s pals made a disparaging comment about Jay Z to Ty Ty. And when the 5 foot 4 Ty Ty responded – things really popped off.
The insider explained, “It was total chaos – Ty Ty got stomped out right there in the store – I though they were going to kill him. And when Ne-Yo tried to break it up, he got stomped too … someone had their foot on Ne-Yo’s neck!!!”
No word on the extent of injuries that either man faced. But our source claims that neither appeared to suffer serious injuries.
Representatives for Jay Z and Jim Jones were not available for comment at the time of publication.
